Local Leaders Rising Up

Guys this is a powerful moment - see the videos below. Even without understanding the language, the emotion is clear. Our teacher-in-training Nicol says goodbye to her first class, as she switches to volunteer during the morning classes for the next semester because her college classes will be in the afternoon.

Five years ago we met this girl at her 9th grade graduation, as she searched us out for help as her parents weren’t going to be able to send both her and her brother to school (in all likelihood, her brother would have been more likely to continue and she would be expected to help take care of the home). She received sponsorship, made the most of it and graduated top of her class.

Now she’s a year into her studies at the teaching University, working for our ministry, inspiring the next generation and changing lives within her own community - an absolute turn around that was made possible by sponsorship through this ministry. Not only life changing for her, but life changing for the hundreds, likely thousands of lives she will go on to bless!

This is our goal, and it’s happening! 🎉
