Our Programs

School Sponsorship

One of the ministry’s primary goals is to ensure every child has the opportunity to receive an education. Each year, we support around 250 students who might otherwise be unable to attend school due to financial hardship, lack of family support, or other challenges.

While students attend public schools, the costs of uniforms, supplies, fees, and transportation often place education out of reach for many families. Our sponsorship program helps meet these needs, ensuring each child has what they need to stay in school.

Beyond financial support, we walk closely with each student and their family through regular visits—offering encouragement, guidance, and sharing the hope and truth of the Gospel in the midst of their daily lives.

Tutoring Program

Our tutoring program provides group classes throughout the week for students in 1st–6th grade, along with academic support sessions for high school students focused on homework help and continued learning.

In many communities we serve, schools are overcrowded and under-resourced, and parents often do not have the literacy skills needed to support their children at home. As a result, many students fall behind early—some reaching upper elementary grades without being able to read or write—yet continuing to be passed along through the system. Without intervention, this often leads to frustration and eventually dropping out.

Our program exists to interrupt that cycle. For younger students, we focus on strengthening foundational reading and academic skills. For high school students, we provide a structured space for homework help, guidance, and encouragement as they navigate increased academic demands.

Students also receive a meal during tutoring sessions, helping meet a basic need while they learn and grow.

Our teaching team—Heydi, Edmy, and Nicolle—walk closely with students throughout the week, offering not only academic support but also consistency, encouragement, and care. Many of the children we serve come from difficult home environments, and our teachers play a key role in creating a safe and supportive space for them.

Each week, students also participate in Bible classes where they learn about God’s love and value for their lives. Throughout the year, we celebrate their progress with special outings to places like local parks and the zoo—recognizing their effort, growth, and perseverance.

Christian Counseling

In 2023, we began offering Christian counseling with a highly experienced Christian psychologist for students who need it most. In Honduras, access to quality mental health care is extremely limited, especially for families living in poverty, making this type of support nearly impossible for many children to receive elsewhere.

This service is designed for students facing a wide range of challenges, including learning disabilities, behavioral struggles that have led to school removal, trauma, and difficult or unstable home environments. It also provides a safe, consistent space for children who simply need someone to talk to as they navigate the complexities and pressures of life in their community.

Through this program, students are given the opportunity to process their experiences in a healthy and supportive environment, while also being reminded of their value, identity, and hope in Christ.

We have seen this counseling program bring meaningful transformation—not only in the emotional well-being of students, but also in their relationships, school engagement, and overall outlook on life. For many, it has become a turning point that brings stability, healing, and renewed hope for the future.

Community Events

Throughout the year, we host community events designed to create meaningful opportunities for families to spend time together, strengthen relationships, and experience joy as a community. These gatherings also provide space to share the Gospel in partnership with local pastors in a relational and accessible way.

We celebrate key moments such as Día del Niño, as well as a formal graduation dinner honoring our students who complete high school each year. These events are intentional opportunities to recognize growth, celebrate milestones, and encourage students as they step into new seasons of life.

We also host special family-focused events throughout the year, such as Mother’s Day, creating moments for rest, connection, and celebration outside of daily challenges. These gatherings help strengthen family bonds and build lasting memories in a safe and joyful environment.

Through each event, our goal is not only celebration, but encouragement—reminding families that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Emergency Aid

In the communities we serve, we often encounter families facing unexpected crises and urgent needs. In these moments, we respond in practical and compassionate ways as we are able, seeking to reflect God’s care through tangible support.

This may include providing emergency food assistance, helping cover the cost of essential medications, or walking alongside families as they navigate sudden hardships. While every situation is different, our goal is to respond with dignity, care, and presence in times of instability and crisis.

Beyond meeting immediate physical needs, we also seek to offer encouragement, prayer, and ongoing relational support—reminding families that they are not alone as they face difficult and often overwhelming circumstances.

Through this ministry, we aim to be a steady presence in moments of uncertainty, pointing families toward hope while helping meet urgent needs in practical ways.
