Community Effort - Video

When we began fencing the property where we hope to one day build, it quickly became more than a construction project—it became a community effort. Everyone found a way to contribute. One man volunteered his truck to transport the materials. Children came out with machetes to clear the grass. Others painted and sealed the fence posts. A group of men gave up their entire Sunday to work together and finish the fence, while one mother prepared lunch for everyone who was working.

No one person could have done it all, but everyone did what they could. That is what makes this project so meaningful to us. This property represents a future we are building together—a place that we hope will one day serve children and families throughout the community. And from the very beginning, the community itself has been helping build it.
