Independent Reading Program

Thanks to a recent donation of new books from the Rotary Club of Franklin, we’ve started a new program with some of our more advanced readers. Our new Independent Reading program gives these kids the chance to work through longer chapter books, improve their reading comprehension and analysis skills, while also improving reading skills and hopefully fostering a love of leisurely reading. While a common program in the US, many Hondurans graduate high school without ever reading a book cover to cover. We’re excited and thankful to be able to enrich our students with this new experience! Enjoy the video we made highlighting this new step forward!
