Class of 2025

Here they are — our Class of 2025!
Five strong, resilient young men who have pushed through obstacles most of us can barely imagine. Each of them has fought for this moment, rewriting the story that was handed to them. And together, they are transforming not only their own futures, but the future of their families and their entire community.

Among them are young men who are the first in their family to graduate, young men who grew up surrounded by gang members and had to fight daily to choose a different path, and young men who worked from a very young age to provide for their homes while still pushing themselves to stay in school.

Every single one carries a powerful, unique story of courage, and it’s been an honor to accompany them on this journey, through both the highs and lows. I hope you’ll take a moment to read each of their journeys below and celebrate this incredible achievement with them!

Andy’s academic journey has been a fun one to watch, as we met him when he was very young, probably 4th or 5th grade. Andy was always an average student, until something clicked in his last couple years of high school, when he decided to really apply himself, suddenly becoming a straight-A, independent hard worker, looking to challenge himself and achieve big things! For his last year in high school, he decided to make the most of it - completing his normal high school studies on the weekend while enrolling in an Automotive Mechanic course during the week. He did so well in this final internship that he was immediately offered a job - a job that will allow time for him to continue his studies in the university, which is his next goal! Andy admits that all through his academic career, he’s fought through doubts and wondering if he can really achieve the big goals he sets for himself, but we are so proud to see him doing it and setting a great example for his younger siblings and the whole community!

Our next graduating student to highlight is Yefri, pronounced “Jeffrey.” This young man has defied the odds and broken damaging cycles in his family to make it to this point. Even from a young age, he had a drive to continue his education, despite many temptations trying to lead him into different paths. He’s always been a great student, great grades, and we are so excited to celebrate this achievement with him! Yefri is graduating with a degree in Computer Science, and is excited to make his family proud.. During his time in high school, he says he learned much more than just the academic, but also the importance of punctuality, being responsable and being respectful. Yefri’s victory is no small feat for a young man in this environment, but God’s power to overcome is so much greater!

This year we also have a graduate from the nearby town of Suntule, a young man named Asael. Asael is graduating with a degree in Accounting and Finance, and his goals include continuing his studies in the local university. Much like his classmates, Asael also remembers the life skills he learned during time in high school, including improving his self discipline, responsibility, and respect towards classmates and teachers. His academic journey has had it’s fair share of obstacles - virtual school during the pandemic in a mountain town with no internet service, and the constant struggle to make it to class in a place with little to no public transportation. Through it all though, he made it! He made a great impression during his senior internship and we know he is headed for big things!

Angel’s high school career has been different than others, due to obstacles life has thrown at him. From a young age, he has been responsible for providing for his household, but he didn’t let that stop him from continuing his education. Angel never had anyone tell him to go to school - his own self motivation has propelled him forward. After working full time all week, he completed his high school courses through a weekend program, and is graduating this year with a degree in Accounting and Finance. Angel enjoyed meeting new people during his years in school, and learning what he could from everyone. He plans to continue his studies in the university and become an entrepreneur, to achieve a more stable life than he’s experienced growing up. This is a huge, life changing achievement for him, and I encourage you to keep him in your prayers as he continues forward!

Our last graduate to celebrate in this very special class of 2025 is Maynor! Maynor is actually Yefri’s cousin, and they’re graduating together at the same school. Maynor had his ups and downs during his academic career, almost deciding to quit at ninth grade. Thankfully he had people around him to push him forward, and he was able to complete this achievement! After graduation, Maynor plans to look for work, and hopefully continue more education at a local technical training school. We are so proud of all of his hard work!

Praise God for each of these young men and for the way He has stepped in to break generational cycles, open doors, and rewrite futures. This ministry continues to push forward—year after year—seeking out students just like them and giving them the life-changing chance to stay in school and succeed.

If you believe in this kind of transformation, then we invite you to partner with us.

The 2026 school year begins in January, and we are preparing to equip even more students with the school supplies, uniforms, bus fares, and support they need to reach this same milestone.

Your generosity today becomes someone’s graduation photo tomorrow.
